Cinnamon Bark has a long history of culinary uses, but its essential oil is surprisingly versatile. Cinnamon is frequently used in mouth rinses and gums.

How to Use
- Place 1 drop of Cinnamon essential oil in hot water or tea and drink slowly.
- In your next recipe including cinnamon, replace ground cinnamon with Cinnamon essential oil for a delightfully spicy flavour.
- Add one drop to 100 ml of water and gargle.

Cinnamon trees grow well in sub-tropical climates, such as the climate in parts of East Africa.
How Does it Work?
East Africa
Cinnamon – both the spice and the essential oil come from the bark of the cinnamon tree. Most of the production of cinnamon is for the spice industry.
The bark can be harvested year-round after it has reached 3 years of maturity. The tree is cut, and the bark peeled from the trunk and the major branches. The tree can regrow and, when it has reached the right size, be harvested again. After the bark is harvested, it is dried in the sun. The bark is then steam distilled to produce the essential oil.
